HYBRID - Monday and Friday: WFH; Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday: in office (looking for flexibility to be able to work overtime as needed - not required)

IRS publication 590A- is the IRS regulations for IRA contributions.
IRS publication 590B- is the IRS regulations for IRA distributions.
1099R is the distribution tax form from a Retirement account.
1099Q is the distribution tax form from a Coverdell account.
5498 is the contribution tax form from a Retirement account.
5498ESA is the contribution tax form from a Coverdell account.
PREFERRED/DESIRED
- 1-2 years' experience with Retirement product and services (highly desired)
- Knowledge of IRS Contributions and Distribution rules
- Excel experience
SUMMARY
A Retirement Operations Analyst is one who maintains functional knowledge of the brokerage business with an Client on retirement account operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Request Handling / Problem Resolution / Data Analysis – as assigned
• Perform different levels of problem resolution & data analysis for all aspects of retirement operations support including: contributions, distributions, processing conversions, recharacterizations, and state withholding reconciliation
• Reconcile activities to ensure transactions are recorded with the proper books and entry coding
• Assist the management team in developing metrics that demonstrate the progress / completion of retirement inquiry resolution
• Execute on customer requests to move money out of retirement accounts
• Understand tax implications of transactions in and out of different retirement account types
• Resolve retirement account issues and document the resolution process
• Validate data integrity is maintained in client facing displays
QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with retirement account types desirable, IRS rules, and/or tax reporting obligations
• Analytical thinker, with excellent written and verbal communication
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and work against deadlines and objectives
• Adaptable to dynamic work environments and priorities
• Demonstrate ownership and sense of urgency in resolving inquiries and issues
• Proven effectiveness in fast-paced, demanding, client-driven environment.
• Ability to perform and deliver within tight deadlines
